Obituary of Olivia Prevett

PREVETT, OLIVIA V. Ocala - Olivia V. (Rezendes) Prevett died unexpectedly on Jan. 29, 2010 at her home in Ocala, FL. She was 90. Her husband of 68 years died six months earlier. She was a dedicated wife and mother and professional dressmaker, seamstress and costume maker. She worked at Miss Howe's dress shop in the 1960's in Lowell, MA, where she later established her own business, the Cradle Shop, selling hand-knit and crocheted baby items made by local craftswomen. She enjoyed interior decorating. She is survived by two sons, a daughter, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Visiting hours are scheduled for Wed. Feb, 3, 2010 from 11 AM to 12 noon at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 P.M. at Highland Memorial Park.
