Obituary of Ruth D. Corcoran Dr

Dr. Ruth D. Corcoran, of The Villages, Fl, passed away, Friday, February 5, 2010 at The Villages Regional Hospital. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and received a Doctorate in Health Education from Columbia University, New York, NY. She graduated Cum Laude. She was CEO of the National League for Nursing, NY and was a professor of health education at several universities. She moved to The Villages from New York, NY in 2008. She enjoyed voyaging on cruise ships and was an avid reader. Dr. Corcoran is survived by her husband, Marty; son, Michael Donzanti of Beachwood, NJ; daughters, Cheryl Meakins of Rotunda, FL and Ruthie Welch of Galloway, NJ; brother Frank Donnelly of Medford Lake, NJ; sisters Jeanne Poole of Annapolis, MD and Carol Donnelly Bennett of Lexington, KY; eight grandchildren, Lindsay Duncan, Danielle Donzanti, Michael Donzanti, Jr., Emily Donzanti, Amanda Meakins, A.
