Obituary of Stella Mae Wells Jones

Franklin, VA - Stella Mae Wells Jones, 85, formerly of Ocala, passed away on Feb. 6, 2010. She was born in Corinth, MS and was the daughter of the late Willie Gurley and Joseph Eli Wells. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Otis Terrell Jones, a brother, Oscar Leon Wells and a grandson, Chad Edward Holland. She was a member of Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the ladies auxiliary and performed duets with her sister. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Belleview. She is survived by her daughter, Monnette J. Holland and her husband E. Stanley of Franklin, grandchildren, Monica Delmar and husband Mike of Mechanicsville, VA, Warren Holland and wife Jessica of Franklin, great grandchildren, Tyler, Diamond, Tanner, Alexis, Ethan, Rachel and Emma, sisters, Earlene Bragg of Corinth, MS and Naomi Lindsay of Panama City and brothers, James Wells and wife Cathy of Pearl, MS and Joe Wells and wife Becky of Corinth, MS as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 from 1-2 PM at Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church, 3300 SW 66th St., Ocala with a Celebration of Life at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor C. Patton Williams officiating. Interment will be on Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Florida National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be sent to the church.
