Obituary of Dorothy Bailey

Dorothy Bailey, age 85. Born Dorothy Hamel, in 1924 to Charles and Josephine Hamel. She was raised in Redford, NY, after moving from the Midwest. Dorothy attended Church of the Assumption School in Redford and later married Leonard Bailey of Standish, NY in 1951. They resided in Dannemora from 1952 until her retiring as Manager of the Dannemora Federal Credit Union in 1989 and retired in Lady Lake, FL. Survived include three sons: Richard residing in Thailand, Frank residing in Charlotte, NC and Gary from Westfield, NJ, one brother Charles (Buck) Hamel of Saranac and three grandchildren (Kelly, Brendan and Caitlin). Memorial services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Service in The Villages. Inurnment will be at Florida National Cemetery, in Bushnell, Fl. with her husband.
