Obituary of Hartzell Selman

Hartzell Arden Selman, 73, of Ocala, FL died Saturday, February 13, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Selman was born in Valparaiso, IN August 27, 1936 to Hartzell Arden Selman and Ellen Iota Watt. He moved to Ocala from Zephyrhills, FL in 2007. He was of the United Methodist faith. Hartzell was a Senior Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard and many commendations. He enjoyed fishing, music, boating, camping, and the outdoors. He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann Selman; son, Timothy (Mitchelle) Selman; Brandon, FL; step-sons, Paul (Lynn) Davis of Valrico, FL and Craig (Kimberly) Davis of Grand Prairie, TX; sisters, Renee (Donald) Hess of GA and Beverly Taylor of CA; grandchildren, Kara Selman, Chase Thornton, Cameron and Olivia Davis, Lola Cooper, and Emma Davis. He was predeceased by his 1st wife of 40 years, Gylberte Selman on September 27, 2002.
