Obituary of Amy Tenhuisen

Belleview - Amy Orton Carpenter TenHuisen, died February 14, 2010 at her home after a short illness. She was born January 2, 1917 in North East, Pennsylvania to the late Thurman and Mary Prindle Orton. She was 93 years of age. Amy is survived by three daughters, Joyce Neely of Florida, Mary (David) Hawkins of Macedon, New York, and Trudy McDevitt of Jonesboro, Georgia. She is also survived by her stepson, Keith (Jody) TenHuisen of Pennsylvania, stepdaughters, Karen Ehrhardt of Arizona and Kathy Johnson of New York, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Amy is preceded in death by her first husband Paul L. Carpenter and her second husband Everett L. TenHuisen, and 2 brothers Gus and Ash Orton. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at Sunset Harbor Baptist Church, 9200 SE Sunset Harbor Road, Summerfield, FL 34491. Interment will be held in Quincy Cemetery, Ripley, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sunset Harbor Baptist Church. Online condolences may be sent to www.hiers-baxley.com.
