Obituary of Lawrence Mitchell Curry

Lawrence M. Curry, 73, died Feb. 17, 2010 at his home. Born in Otter Creek he has spent his life there. He worked in logging all his life and was of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working but was most proud of his family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Annie Mae Curry of Otter Creek, daughter Susie (Mike) Smetana of Otter Creek, Mary Watkins of Otter Creek, Gail (David) Lamb of Chiefland, sister, Martha Hall of Jacksonville, 8 grandchildren and 5 Great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 2 granddaughters, Nicole & Sylvia, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, Feb. 21 at 2:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services in Chiefland. Burial will be at Ellzey Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 20 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
