Obituary of Joseph D. Marques
Belleview - Joseph Damien Marques, 85, died at Estelle's Hospice House February 18, 2010. He was born in Centralia, PA and moved to this area from Shamokin, PA in 1986. He was a manager of a hardware store and grocery. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the United States Army Air Corps. Mr. Marques was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Belleview. He is survived by his wife, Joyce K. Marques, Belleview; daughter, Carol Ann Heydt, Franklin, NH; son, Thomas A. Marques, Walnutport, PA; stepdaughters, Darlene Hancock, Lecanto, FL, Dr. Bettina Riccio, New York City, NY; stepsons, Franklin Van Why, Phillipsburg, NJ, Matthew Van Why, Bangor, PA; sister, Dolores A. Zyla, Shamokin, PA; half-sister, Mary Behler, Lake Placid, FL; half-brother, Pete Santos, Georgia; 8 grandchildren and 9 Great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview with Msgr. James Lichtenthal officiating. Inurnment will follow at Florida National Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County, Estelle's House, PO Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478.
