Obituary of Ida Gladdin

GLADDIN, IDA HARRELL Ocala - Ida Harrell Gladdin, 86, passed away on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010. She was born in Irwinville, GA and moved to Ocala in 1941. She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church in Irwinville and attended Ft. King Baptist Church in Ocala. She enjoyed being with her family, cooking and ceramics. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Smith and Elaine Childers, her sons, J.W. Gladdin, Danny Gladdin and J.P. Gladdin and her 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sol David "Skinner" Gladdin. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala with Rev. Samuel W. Clements officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park.
