Obituary of Eugene J. Blair

Eugene Blair, age 76, of The Villages, FL passed away February 25, 2010. He was born in Detroit, Mi. and was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Korea. He was a retired automotive engineer with Efficient Engineering Company for 45 years. He moved to The Villages in 2008 from Troy, MI. Eugene was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Community. He enjoyed playing golf, card games, Sudoku, doing cross-word puzzles, flying radio controlled airplanes, and traveling. Survivors include Mary Blair, wife, The Villages, Florida; Christopher Blair, son, Rochester Hills, Michigan; Dr. Michele Blair/Lester, daughter, Cape Coral, Florida; Lorraine Gietzen, sister, Independence, MO and three grandchildren. Funeral Memorial Mass will be 8:30 AM Thursday, March 4, 2010 at St Timothy Catholic Community, with inurnment to follow at Florida National Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation of family and friends will be 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Service, The Villages.
