Obituary of Malcolm A. MacLeod
Malcolm A. "Guy" MacLeod, age 79, of Ocala, FL passed away on Friday, February 26, 2010. He was born in Boston, MA on March 1, 1930. He was raised in the Boston area and left after joining the US Air Force and later the US Navy where he served during the Korean Conflict. After his military service he returned to the states and married Evelyn Matlock. Throughout his life he worked as a Tempest Engineer. Mr. MacLeod was a member of the First Assembly of God in Ocala where he served as a Sunday School teacher and Usher. His hobby was operating HAM radio and building radios. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Evelyn MacLeod of Ocala; son Rev. Dan (Suzanne) MacLeod of Joppa, MD; brother Donald (Myrtle) MacLeod of New Hampshire; brother Bobby (Bernice) MacLeod Nova Scotia; sister Muriel Rufer of Pennsylvania; and one granddaughter Elizabeth MacLeod. A funeral service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will also take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from 10:00AM until the time of the service at 11:00AM. Interment with military honors will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 1:00PM.
