Obituary of Audrey Elizabeth Perkins

Belleview - Audrey E. Perkins, 94, died at Tuscany Hospice House in Summerfield, FL on March 8, 2010. She was born in Lowell Massachusetts and moved to this area from Salinas, CA in October of 2005. She was a retired Navy Secretary (Chief Yeoman 1st Class) from 1943 to 1974. She was a WAVE during WW II and stationed at Pearl Harbor from 1964 to 1968, she received the Navy Achievement Medal, 6 Good Conduct Awards, and was awarded the Navy Commendation Award. She traveled extensively with the Navy going to every county except Korea during her lifetime. She enjoyed pets, especially her cat, Holly. Ms. Perkins is survived by her grand-nieces, Patricia Mountain, Belleview, FL, Karol Lento, Floral City, FL, Nancy Jarek, Tyngsboro, MA and grand-nephew, Robert Dupras, Hudson, NH. Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 2 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview.
