Obituary of Denver Lawrence Ellison
Ocala - Denver Lawrence "Larry" Ellison, 74, passed away March 9, 2010 in Ocala, FL. He was born in Orlando, FL and was a realtor for 35 years and college professor, retired founder of and former owner of Ellison Realty and Ellison property management. He moved to Ocala in 1973 from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was President of HOPS, 32º Mason, Shriner and President of board of realtors and MLS. Mr. Ellison was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ocala. He was a Sunday school teacher and Chairman of stewardship campaign. His hobbies were fishing, reading and travel. He was an avid Gator fan, he loved the Florida Gators. He is survived by his Daughters, Lorraine Lawhorn of Longwood, Lisa Connelly of Orlando, Lindsay Bryan of Orlando, Courtney Wilson of Tampa. Sisters, Marcia Graddy of Eustis, Judi Strohl of Tavares, 7 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and wife, Georgia McKenzie Ellison. Mr. Ellison was predeceased by sister, Wanda Hand. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 11 from 6pm to 8pm at Hiers Funeral Home, Ocala, with services on Friday March 12 at 11am at First United Methodist Church, Ocala. Officiating will be Rev. Sue Haupert-Johnson, Rev. Allen Johnson and Dr. John Few. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Ocala.
