Obituary of Kenneth Langer
Ocala - Kenneth John Langer, 67, passed away on March 15, 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimers/Dementia. He was born in Ellsworth, WI and moved to Ocala 26 years ago. He was a salesman at Foxy Carpets in Ocala and attended Meadowbrook Church. He served his country in the Army National Guard. His wife, Billie Jeanne, was his best friend along with his poodle Misty Lou. He loved it when the grandchildren stayed overnight and he always made them "special pancakes". He enjoyed his family fishing trips along with bowling and golf. He was most proud of the athletic abilities of his grandchildren. The first four are all honor students and athletes. The two older ones have scholarships to college. He is survived by his loving wife, Billie Jeanne, his loving daughters, Dawn Marie Shively and husband Steve of Ocala and Lisa M. Gillespie of CA, his loving sons, Robert A. Wagner and wife Sandy of Ocala, Brian K. Wagner of Oakland, CA and Jeffrey S. Langer of Gainesville, his sisters, Eileen Zeilinger, Lorraine Zignego and Joanne Langer, his brothers, Eldon and Gene Langer and his seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Herminah Langer, his sister, Jeanne Ann Langer, and his brothers, Patrick, Bernard, Lloyd and Ivan. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala with Pastor Ron Howard officiating. The family will received friends from 2-3 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County or the Alzheimer's Research Assn.
