Obituary of Opal Heath

Opal Heath came to Ocala in 1956 with her husband, Bonnie Heath. They were instrumental in the development of thoroughbred racing in Florida. Opal is survived by daughters Heather Pennington of Sarasota, Hillary Wellborn of High Springs, son Bonnie Heath, III of Ocala, grandson Heath Pennington and two great-granddaughters of Tulsa, OK. A memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 1 PM at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 1908 SE Ft. King Street, Ocala. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the United Way of Marion County, or the charity of your choice.
