Obituary of Richard W. Townsend

Richard W.Townsend Jr.,73, of Ocala, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at home under the loving care of his family. Born February 12, 1937 in Seneca, NY, son to the late Richard W. and Marjory B. Townsend, Sr., he came here from Columbus, Ohio in 1997 .He was a Regional Sales Manager with All-American Homes, Decatur, IN. Richard was a member of the West Marion Moose Lodge, Ocala where he served as Past Governor. Racing was his hobby. He was of the Methodist faith and US.Army 101st Airborne veteran during the Korean conflict. He is survived by His Loving wife of 52 years, Pauline H Townsend, Ocala, 2 sons, Gary Townsend (Kathy), Fort Worth, TX and Loren Townsend (Patsy), Millersport, OH. Foster son, John Cordle Ocala, 4 Grandsons and 2 Granddaughters, 2 brothers, James Townsend (Carolyn), Lockport, NY and Dale Townsend , Newberry, FL, 2 sisters, Barbara Treet , Lake Weir, FL and Loretta Case (Bob), Canadaguia, NY. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 in the Chapel of Heirs-Baxley Funeral Home, 9695 SW 110th St., Ocala at 1:00PM.Friends will be received from noontime until time of service. Private family interment will be at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
