Obituary of James Clifton Davies

James Clifton Davies, 79, formerly of Ocala, died March 27, 2010 in Charleston, SC. He was born in Anthony and was retired from Swift Meat & Packing Co. and the City of Ocala. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a lifetime member and past president of the Ocala Singles Club. He is survived by his daughter, Terie Weaver of Anthony, his son, Stephen Davies and wife Sandra of Charleston, SC, his sisters, Faye Lutz of Bradenton and Carolyn Rebello of Tampa and his grandchildren, Cory Weaver, Joe Weaver, Matthew Davies and Tyler Davies. He was preceded in death by a son, David Arthur Davies. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday from 5-7 PM.
