Obituary of Donna Marie Groves

Donna Marie Groves went up to rest in the arms of her Heavenly Father on March 27, 2010. She was born in St. Cloud to Lillian and Donald Groves. Donna was of the Baptist faith. Donna attended Forest High School and CFCC in Ocala. She graduated from St. Leo College where she received a double bachelor in Math and Science while also tutoring the blind. Donna was a Sergeant with the U.S. Army and was a highly decorated veteran of Desert Shield/Storm serving with the 301st Field Hospital. She was a certified deep water diver and loved diving with the sharks. She was a motorcycle enthusiast and a volunteer for many Marion County organizations. She loved to laugh, she was a very creative artist, loved her rock collections and was a lifetime of blessings for family and friends. She loved her family and friends and was always there for them. She is survived by her Mom and Dad Lillian and Jerry Deming, Father & Stepmother Don and Betty Groves. Surviving sisters and brothers, Sonjia Sneed (Bret), Tracy Hall (Tom), Sheila Chessari, Melissa Noyes, Scott Deming, Brian Groves and Andrew Groves. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and her precious companion JorJet (her doggie). Memorial Service will be held on April 8, 2010 at 10:45 a.m. with Donna's cousin the Pastor Jason Spotz officiating with a Gathering from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Ocala Chapel, 910 E. silver Springs Blvd with inurnment to follow at Highland Memorial Park with Full Military Honors provided by Angela Santos, VFW Post 4781.
