Obituary of Frank Herbert Couch

Frank H. Couch, Jr, 82, dies Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville from injuries sustained in a fall. He was born in Richmond, VA., on April 1, 1927. He worked as a lineman and in 1957 he and his family moved to St. Petersburg, FL. In 1970 he and his wife, Verna, moved to Gulf Hammock to operate a country store. After his wife's death in 1998, he became hooked on motorcycles and he traveled all over the country on his 'bike' making friends along the way. He was also known as a 'dog whisper'. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Verna B. Couch. He is survived by his son, Frank (Carol) Couch, III, 2 grandchildren Chrissy Claveria and Frankie (Christy) Couch, great grand children Aaron and Jessica Steed, Amanda Claveria, Ryley, Reagan and Rachel Couch and his best friend Tux II. Memorial services will be held Monday, April 5 at 6:30 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services. Arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1301 N.
