Obituary of Joseph Santore

Ocala - Joseph Santore, 95, passed away suddenly at Sylvia's Hospice House on April 6, 2010. He was born August 21, 1914 in Bernardo, Italy to Bernard and Carmella Santore. At the age of 3, he came to Ellis Island and settled in Albany, NY where he lived until moving to Ocala in 1989. He was cross country truck driver until his retirement and served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris Santore and the father of six children, sons, Joseph(Eileen) Santore of Niskayuna, NY, Arthur(Elizabeth) Santore of Riverside, CA and Thomas(Martha) Santore of Waterford, NY, daughters, Roxanne Santore of Cohoes, NY, Doris Santore of Voorheesville, NY and Joanna(Frank) Robilotti of Albany, NY, has 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Anne Barto, niece, Anne Barto and grandson, Richard Santore. Funeral services will held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
