Obituary of Kelly Jean Allen

Kelly Jean Allen aged 52, of Chiefland, Florida died due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on April 10, 2010. She was born in Bartow, FL on December 6, 1957. Kelly is survived by three children, Christina Jean Smith, Michael Grady Crews and Candice Dawn McCabe and seven beautiful grandchildren. She is survived by her parents, Roger L. and Betty Jean Starling and three siblings, Joey Michael Allen, Janet Lee Ponder and Taryn Denise Wright. She is preceded in death by sister Linda Nolin Ricks. She has nine nieces and nephews and numerous grand nieces and nephews. Kelly was a lifelong resident of Florida and made her home in Chiefland in 1993, settling among her closet family and friends. She was employed in the health care industry and thoroughly enjoyed providing care to those in need. She had a passion for horses and dogs, and was an avid collector of Beanie Babies. Kelly never met a stranger and was outgoing, loving and kind. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and aunt. She will be dearly missed. Visitation and Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 16th at the home of Roger and Jean Starling, 7351 NW 168th Lane, Trenton (Fanning Springs) FL. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM with the memorial services at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations me made through Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services.
