Obituary of Bernice Capasso

Capasso, Bernice Ocala - Bernice Capasso, 90 of Ocala and formerly of Grinnell, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Sylvia's House Hospice. She moved to the Ocala area from Hendersonville, TN in 1972. She was an avid bridge player and was a member of the Ocala Duplicate Bridge Club. Bernice was also a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. At the start of World War II, she took a position with the War Department as a secretary in the Pentagon. Later, she worked as an executive secretary with Abbot Laboratories in N. Chicago, Illinois for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Capasso. Bernice is survived by a son, Jeffrey Latz (Susan) and two grandchildren, Sgt. Andrew Latz and Karen Ziegler (Jeremy). Graveside services will be held at a later date in Grinnell, Iowa.
