Obituary of Major Thomas Drezek

Maj. Thomas Drezek Jr., retired US Air Force Officer, died at Munroe Regional Medical Center on April 14, 2010. He was 73 and resided at 10966 SW 86th Terrace, Ocala, FL. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, September 14, 1936, he was the son of Thomas and Amelia F. (Palkimas) Drezek. He graduated Stamford High School, class of 1955. He lived in Stamford for 19 years before joining the US Air Force. He retired in August 1978 in Colorado Springs, CO. Thomas lived in Palmer, AK from 1987-1994 before moving to Ocala. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and a life member of the DAV. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Anne Weiant, of Palmer, Alaska; two sons Thomas III of Ohio and John Edgar of Texas; one brother, Robert Vanech of Fairfield, CT, two sisters, Barbara Conetta of Sarasota, FL and Diane Ellis of Colleyville, TX; one Aunt, Helen Brozska of Darien, CT and one granddaughter, Rebecca Leigh Weiant, of Palmer, AK.
