Obituary of Paul Lawrence Hertenstein
Paul Lawrence Hertenstein, 89 of Ocala, passed away on April 15, 2010 at Sylvia's House.
He was born on October 27, 1920, in Napoleon, Indiana and has been a resident of Ocala since 1996. He was an active member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and was a Air Force veteran of World War II and POW in Germany.
Paul was a retired managing partner of Arthur Young (now Ernst & Young Financial) in Singapore for 10 years. He was a supportive contributor to numerous hospitals, universities and charities throughout his life. He was also an avid golfer and a member of Golden Hills Golf and Turf Club and Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club.
Paul is survived by his wife of 29 years, Mary, formerly of Singapore; 5 step-children, Patrick, Henry, Joan, Clare and Marc; 10 grandchildren; two nephews, Tom and Jim Hertenstein of Ohio; and two nieces, Sharon McGavin of New York and Janice Chika of Maryland.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd. in Ocala with Dr. Douglas V. Moore officiating.
Inurnment will be held at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
