Obituary of Oliver McDonald

McDONALD, OLIVER LESTER Ocklawaha - Oliver Lester McDonald, 96, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2010 at Tuscany Hospice House. He was born in Ocala and was a lifetime resident. He was co-founder of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and retired from the City of Ocala as foreman of the maintenance yard. He is survived by his daughter, Glenda Wood of Ocklawaha, his son-in-law, R.J. Ellis of Ocklawaha, his sister, Anna "Boots" Holly of Weirsdale, his granddaughter, Marlena Bellamy of Silver Springs, his grandson, Sean Scot Johnson, Sr. of Silver Springs and his great grandchildren, Shauna, Shelbie, Samantha, Savannah and Sean Scot, Jr. He was also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Waldena Cemetery. Visitation will be at the cemetery at 10 AM. Arrangements by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
