Obituary of Frances S. Jenkins

Jenkins, Frances S. Frances S. Jenkins, 87, of Ocala went to be with the Lord she loved on Monday, April19,2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty two years, Charlie H. Jenkins. Frances was a veteran of the United States Navy where she served our country as a WAVE during WWII. She was stationed at Chelsea Naval Hospital in Boston. Frances lived in Miami for over forty years where she was a founding member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church. She later moved to Homosassa Springs where she was a member of St. Anne's. After moving to Ocala her devotion to the Lord continued with her work at the Church of the Advent. Throughout the years, Frances taught Sunday school and was a passionate member of the vestry, the altar guild and the Order of St. Luke. She is survived by her children, Aleta Prebianca of Tampa, Joanne Lamond of Ormond Beach, Charles Jenkins of Greer, SC and five granddaughters. During her lifetime, Frances touched many lives and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 21st at 1:00PM at the Episcopal Church of the Advent, Ocala. A visitation will precede from 11:00AM to 12:00PM in the Hiers-BaxleyTimberidge Chapel, 9695 SW 110th St., Ocala.Her final resting place will be beside her husband in Sardis, GA.
