Obituary of Joseph James Ingrao
Mr. Joseph J. "Joe" Ingrao, 68, died peacefully at his home in Citra on Tuesday, April 27, 2010. A native of Bronx, New York, he moved to the Marion County area in 1970, coming here from New Jersey. Joe was the owner/operator of Parker Tire Service in Ocala. He was very active in the community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Kiwanis Club of Ocala, and was a member of the Ocala Elks Lodge. His many hobbies include cycling, drag racing, model trains, wood crafting - especially fine writing instruments, serving as a DJ, traveling, was an avid Gator fan, and was very active in the North American Model Boat Association. Joe was a member of First Baptist Church of Ocala. Survivors include his wife Suzanne, sister Diana Wood (Melvin), Ocala, nephews Kevin Wood, Ocala, and Timothy Wood, Port. St. Joe, FL, and son Todd Jones, Ocala. He was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Ingrao. Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, May 1, 2010, at First Baptist Church, 2801 E. Maricamp Road, Ocala, with Dr. Edward D. Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Friday at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
