Bernice recently told me that her favorite verse in the Bible was Proverbs 17:22. That same day I looked that verse up. It read, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones." I also liked that verse very much, wrote it down that day and taped it to my computer so I would see it everyday. Anyone who knew Bernice wouldn't be surprised at all that that verse was her favorite, for she truly had a merry heart. She was always laughing and always greeted people with a big hello and a hug, always said goodbye with an "I love you". We spent many hours working together, shared many things and had many laughs. Since she retired and moved to Florida, we have kept in touch, although not as often the past couple of years. She never changed though, she was still merry Bernice, even in her emails, she typed exactly as she spoke. Reading her emails I could always picture her hand motions and facial expressions as she would tell a story. She was a great lady, a joy to be around, a wonderful friend. I will miss her greatly but will never forget her. I love you BJ, Katie and Hannah. You have been, and will continue to be, in my thoughts and prayers.

Bernice was such a sweet, kind lady. She always greeted you with a smile and a hug. We always looked forward to her and Don coming to Ohio for our reunion on the 1st Sunday in June. We were all so shocked and overwhelmed to hear of her passing.
Dear cousin, we will all miss you so much, but know you will be enjoying that big reunion on high.Our thoughts and prayers are with Don and the family in this time of sorrow.

Sunshine was a kind, caring, loving mother, friend, and confidant to me. I am still in shock she is no longer with us here on earth but I know she is watching over me and all the rest of the people she loved so dearly. I have so many memories, I wouldn't know where to start. Saturday morning coffee chats were the best. She always had time for me and did her best to help me become the best me I could be. I think I will miss her hugs the most. It seems she always knew when I needed one the most..A great big bear hug and "I love you Tam". I will miss you so much Sunshine, but I take comfort in knowing you are where you want to be...in paradise with the Lord. By the way, you could never, ever have been a wimp....I love you...Rest in peace sweet angel.

I have so many fond memories of Aunt Bernice! She was a wonderful Sunday School teacher; she loved church! We had lots of great conversations on her front porch, and I have special memories of birthday lunches, where Aunt Bernice once introduced me to a chimichanga!
My prayers are with you all in this difficult time. She will be missed!
