Obituary of Edwin Lees Shaw

SHAW, JR., EDWIN L. Citra - Edwin L. Shaw, Jr., 80, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, May 1, 2010. He was born in Newburgh, NY and moved to Citra 5 years ago from Miami. He was retired from Eastern Airlines, starting as a ticket clerk and retiring as a captain, piloting L1011's. He is survived by his loving daughters, Sally A. Shaw of Citra and Ellen Shaw of Key Largo, his granddaughters, Kelly Braud and Ashely Daugherty and great granddaughter Emily. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara in 2008 and his son Gary in 1979. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Marion County.
