Obituary of Henry David Fortuna
Ocala - Henry David Fortuna, 61, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Detroit, MI and was a Respiratory Therapist at Ocala Regional Medical Center. He also taught Biology at Trinity Catholic High School and was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. He received his BA in Economics & Business from Oakland University and served his country in the US Navy Seabees during the Vietnam War, stationed at Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam. He gave many hours as a coach and referee for the Big Sun Soccer League. He loved the outdoors and gardening and trained Arabian horses before moving to Ocala. He was an honest hard worker, always giving of himself and leading others by his actions, giving people the benefit of doubt and always greeting you with a smile. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth, his children, Gina Marie, Grayson and Garrin Fortuna, , his parents, Albert and Geraldine Fortuna, his siblings, Melicent(Anthony) Antonelli, Lynn Hunter, Tom(Kelly) Fortuna, Joan(Rodney) Munchiando, Jane(Alan) Spencer, Nancy(Michael) Powers, Terrance(Joni) Fortuna and Clare(Steve) Symanski. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church with Father Pat Sheedy officiating.
