Obituary of Evelyn Mae Herrington

SUMMERFIELD — Evelyn Mae Herrington, 78, died Friday, May 7, 2010. Mrs. Herrington was born in Guilford, Conn., and moved to Summerfield from Troy, Pa., in 1988. She was a housewife; part of the clown team known as "Saltie & Sweetie"; co-owner of Neil's Vending Service; licensed real estate agent; was a community volunteer for many years; enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, reading and baking pies. Survivors include her husband, Neil; daughter, Laurie Dunn, Towanda, Pa.; siblings Linda Benzi, Guilford, June Filas, Unicoi, Tenn., Gilbert Hawkins, Connecticut, Pat Vandavier, Aida Rodriguez, Orlando Rodriguez, all of Summerfield; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held under the direction of the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home in Towanda, Pa. Interment will be in Burlington Township at Bradford County Memorial Park in Pennsylvania.
