Obituary of Frank J. Writer

Frank J. Writer Jr. 90, of Ocala, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2010. He was a resident of Oak Run since 1993 and was formerly of Levittown, PA. Frank was a member of the Oak Run Friday Golf League and was an avid poker player with his friends in the community. Frank was also a past member of the Oak Run Billards League. Prior to his retirement, he was Vice-President of Kaufman & Broad Construction Co. in New Jersey. Frank was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army during the European campaign. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Jeanie in 2009. Frank is survived by a son, Dale P. Writer (Diane); a daughter, Carrie Jean Murdoch (Bill); 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 1:00PM at Hiers-Baxley-Timberridge Chapel. Inurnment to follow privately at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the charity of one's choice.
