Obituary of Hilda Dorsett

THE VILLAGES- Hilda Barnes Dorsett, 85, died Thursday, May 13, 2010. Mrs. Dorsett was born in Wilson, N.C. and moved to The Villages from Rocky Mount, N.C. in 2001. She was a homemaker, a former square dancer, was of the Christian faith and enjoyed traveling and ballroom dancing. Survivors include her husband, Robert; daughters, Becky Barnes Terry and Barbara Jean Jeter, both of The Villages; sister Jean Lagrange, Rocky Mount; brother, William Clifton Barnes, Jr. Atlantic Beach, N.C.; stepdaughter, Teresa Stoll, Brooksville; stepsons, James Reece Dorsett, London, England and David Allen Dorsett, Crystal River; five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, with Pastor Michael Hunkus officiating. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M., Monday, May 17, 2010 at the funeral home.
