Obituary of June Strine

June Audrey Strine, age 87, of Ocala, FL passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Legacy House in Ocala Florida. She was born in Kenmore Ohio, a suburb of Akron, on September 11, 1922. She is survived by her son Bill Strine and daughter-in-law Holly of St. Augustine, and grandsons Brennan and Cameron. June was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years William "Bill" Lewis Strine who passed away on January 13, 2010. June graduated high school in Akron, attended nursing school in Euclid Ohio, and moved to Miami Florida in 1947, where she met & married Bill in 1950. They became long-time members of the New Testament Baptist Church begun by the Rev. A.C. Janney, where June put her nursing skills to use in the nursery which became known as Babyland. In 1987 June moved from South Florida to Ocala upon Bill's retirement, where they remained active in service to the Lord as members of Berean Baptist Church. June loved her family, church(s) and the Lord Jesus Christ, in whose arms she now rests. Public viewing and services will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at 3:30pm. A visitation will also be held on Sunday from 2:30 until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Ocala.
