Obituary of Terence William McGarvey

McGarvey, Terence William Terence William McGarvey, 78, of The Villages died May 29, 2010. He was born in New York City, New York and came here from Franklin Square, New York in 1984. Terence retired as Director of Leasing after 41 years with MetLife Insurance Company. He was a Certified Life Insurance Underwriter with MetLife. He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Community Church, and a 50 Year Member of Knights of Columbus. Survivors include wife, Mary McGarvey of The Villages, Florida; a daughter, Kathleen Philippi of Patchoque, New York; sons Terence McGarvey of Montoursville, Pennsylvania, John McGarvey of Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, James McGarvey of Lady Lake, Florida, Thomas McGarvey of Flushing, New York, Michael McGarvey of Orlando, Florida; and a sister Geraldine Meehan of Woodside, New York, and 12 grandchildren. Funeral Mass was 8:30 AM, Saturday, June 5, 2010 St. Timothy Community Catholic Church. Inurnment will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, with Military Honors.
