Obituary of Frank Dante Maggilini

THE VILLAGES — Frank Dante Maggilini, 85, died Friday, June 11, 2010. Mr. Maggilini was born in Rochester, N.Y., and moved to The Villages from there. He was a retired cutter in the garment manufacturing industry; member of St. Timothy Catholic Community, Lady Lake; American Legion Post 347, Lady Lake; the American Military Society; Lifetime member of VFW, Rochester; past commander of Ira Jacobson American Legion Post, Rochester; Chef de Gare of 40&8, Rochester; and enjoyed playing cards. Survivors include his son, David, Portland, Ore.; daughters Nanette Klaus, Phoenix, Ariz., Laura Jean Maggilini, Thorwood, N.Y.; sister, Lia Clemens, Walnut Creek, Calif.; and three granddaughters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 17, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, at the funeral home. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 17, in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, with military honors by American Legion Post 347, Lady Lake.
