Obituary of Arthur J. Longo

LADY LAKE — Arthur J. Longo Sr., 74, died Saturday, June 19, 2010. Mr. Longo was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Lady Lake from Marathon in 1999. He was a retired commercial fisherman; of the Catholic faith; and an Air Force veteran. Survivors include his wife, Anna; sons Ernie B. Plourde, Wolcutt, Conn., Shane Plourde, Ohio, Arthur Longo Jr., Orlando; daughters Irish Romano, Torrington, Conn., Pamela Dominello, Meriden, Conn.; several brothers and sisters; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, The Villages. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
