Obituary of Lelia Smith

SMITH, Lelia Myrtle Mrs. Lelia Myrtle Smith, 83, of Ocala, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Munroe Regional Medical Center. A native of Mishawaka, Indiana, she moved to this area 21 years ago, coming here from Kokomo, Indiana. She was a member of Present Truth Ministries where she was involved for over 47 years. She served as their Song Leader for over 40 years, was a member of the Handmaidens, was involved in missions and missions trips, and was a board member and elder of Present Truth Ministries. She is survived by her son Rick Smith, Sr.(Deanna), sisters Dorothy Mickelson, Lena Abresch, Helen Copeland, grandchildren Rick Smith, Jr. (Lavonda), Dawn Merritt, Daniel Smith (Andrea), and Joshua Smith (Emily), 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents Rollie and Minnie Mills, brothers Leon and Donnie Mills, sisters Evelyn McClish and Betty Mills, her son Randy Smith, and one great granddaughter Alyssa Smith. Visitation will be from 1-3 PM Friday, June 25, followed by funeral services at 3 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, with Rev. Francis Alsop officiating. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens.
