Obituary of Oscar Olin

THE VILLAGES — Oscar E. Olin, 89, died Sunday, July 11, 2010. Mr. Olin was born in New York, N.Y. He was a retired general contractor; a Catholic by faith; member and commander of U.S. Power Squadron; Moose Lodge; an Army Air Force veteran of World War II; and his hobbies were golf, boating and dancing. Survivors include his sons, Stephen O., Asheville, N.C., Robert C., Apopka; daughter, Janet Schultz, Zirconia, N.C.; companion, Mary Tournay, The Villages; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, with Pastor David McGrath officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to The Villagers for Hospice, Cornerstone Hospice at The Villages, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162.
