Obituary of James Alan Spector
THE VILLAGES — James "Jim" Spector, 73, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010.
Mr. Spector was born in Rochester, N.Y., and moved to The Villages from Memphis, Tenn., in 2000. He had retired as human resources vice president for Catherine's clothing stores; was a member of Temple Shalom; the Jazz Club, where he wrote the Jazz newsletter; the North American Bridge Club; was editor of the Belle Aire News Letter; his hobbies included playing bridge; writing; and he was a fan of the University of Memphis basketball team.
Survivors include his wife, Kathie; daughters Jennifer Legler, Tulsa, Okla., Julie Nouwen, Memphis; sister, Marjorie Minnis, Cleveland, Ohio; brother, Kenneth, Gilbert, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, July 16, at Temple Shalom, Oxford. Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to United Way. Online condolences may be left at hiers-baxley.com.
