Obituary of Richard Francis Callan
THE VILLAGES — Richard F. Callan Jr., 67, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010.
Mr. Callan was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved here from Wantagh, N.Y., in 2002. He was a retired sheet metal draftsman; member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, Summerfield; Knights of Columbus; Villages Recreation Softball League; and his hobbies were bowling and model trains.
Survivors include his wife, Judith; daughters Lesah Dubnansky, Seward, Pa., Debra Falco, Middletown, N.Y., Dayna Ingrassia, Gaithersburg, Md.; sister, Patricia McDonald; and eight grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, Summerfield. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 15, and 2-7 p.m. Friday, July 16, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. A lunch reception will be held immediately after Mass at Laurel Manor Recreation Center.
