Obituary of Walter August Piper
PIPER, WALTER (Wally) AUGUST, born October 2, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, died peacefully at his home on Little Lake Weir July 17, 2010. Father Walter August Piper, his mother Angela Castelli Piper, his sisters Diane Piper and Angela Piper Harvison (survived by husband Gary), precedes him in death. Wally is survived by his wife Judith Chambers Piper, his brother's Calvin Piper and William Charles Piper (wife Mary), his daughters Debra Cozzo (husband David), Diane Piper, Tiffany Shook (husband Jamey), Mynda Licata (husband Damon), Tammy Cecconie (husband Conan), Jolean Topoleski (husband Jay), Christine Hawkesworth (husband Brandon), son Brian Piper, step children William Chambers (wife Cyndi), Michael Chambers (wife Kathy), Susan Chambers Peeler, Susan Chambers, Son-in-Law Jeffery Hart (wife Kathy), many grandchildren and great grandchildren and many other family members. Wally graduated from Miami Senior High School as an All American football player and played while attending the University of Miami. Wally was not only an All American football player but most importantly an All American father, husband, brother, compassionate friend, businessman and a true Floridian. His favorite charities are the Boys and Girls Club and the American Cancer Society. Please join us for a celebration of Wally's life at 11 am Wednesday July 21, 2010, at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 151 Southwest 87th Place, Ocala, Florida. A memorial service will be held in Miami at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services - Ocala Chapel.
