Obituary of Elma E. Jones

JONES, ELMA E. Ocala - Elma E. Jones, 87, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2010. She was born in Conway, SC and was a retired Corrections Officer for the State of Florida, Dept. of Corrections. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and received her Associate Degree in Criminology at CFCC. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Jones of Ocala and Laselda Austin of Murfreesboro, TN, her grandsons, Greg Jones, Philip Jones, Neal Smith, and Mitchell Austin, her granddaughters, Gina Nowell, Becky Bostwick and Debbie Buckly and her 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira O. Jones and her sons, Wilson H. Smith and Paul Jones. Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at Highland Memorial Park, 1515 NE 3rd St., Ocala with Dr, John Few officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5-7 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
