Obituary of Montyne N. Valvoda

THE VILLAGES — Montyne N. Valvoda, 87, died Thursday, July 22, 2010. Ms. Valvoda was born in Ashport, Tenn., and moved to The Villages from Memphis, Tenn., in 1995. She was a homemaker and retired hairdresser; member of St. Timothy Catholic Community, Lady Lake; The Villages Golf Club Community; and her hobbies were golf, gardening, sewing and knitting. Survivors include her daughters Donna Douglas, Philadelphia, Pa., Maria Hughes, Denver, Colo.; sisters Carmen Newman, Tampa, Bernice Palsha, Gaithersburg, Md.; brother, Joseph Newman, Tampa; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 30, at St. Timothy Catholic Community. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Timothy Catholic Community, Mass cards in lieu of flowers.
