I will never forget my "daddy away from home". When Deb brought me to her house the first time and I met her parents - it was like I was home. They both reminded me so much of my family. I always loved getting big hugs and kisses from Teddy and will remember him so fondly forever. My thoughts, prayers, love, hugs and kisses go to Deb and her Mom. Love you both so much and I will miss Teddy greatly. Love, Wendy Ramos

I was fortunate enough to meet Olivia and Ted through Jeanne. When I lived in Florida back in the 80's, we would go and visit them, go to Key West to the Fantasy Fest parade and always had a lot of laughs. I was able to visit Olivia and Ted in the Villages with Jeanne when I was down in Florida for business. I am fortunate to have known him and my deepest sympathies go to Olivia, Debbie and Brad.

I called Ted Barsell "Daddyhugs" because of the wonderful hugs he gave me when I would come to see him or stay him and his family. We were friends for over 30 years, and Olivia and he, Debbie and Brad welcomed me into the family, always willing to share him. I spent a lot of time with them in the Keys, and was lucky enough to come to The Villages last year to visit him and Olivia. He was a quiet man, but when he spoke, his wit was unforgettable. I was having a particularly hard time many years back, and Olivia and he invited me to come and stay with them in the Keys so I could sit on the porch and swing in their egg chair. Daddyhugs at that time named me "Lizzie Borden" - since I was a bit crazy at the time. He will be incredibly missed by me. I last spoke to him on Father's Day and I feel so blessed that he and his family were a part of my life. Thank you all for sharing him with me. My sympathy to Olivia, Debbie and Brad. I know a piece of your hearts left with him, as did mine. Much love, Jeanne Volk
