Obituary of Paul Douglas Luke

Luke, Paul Douglas-Obit Paul Douglas Luke, 65 of Chiefland, passed away at Haven Hospice of the TriCounties on August 1, 2010 after a battle with cancer. Paul was born on January 19, 1945 in Levy County where he lived his entire life. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in the Logging business, he also farmed and did a lot of fence work for people in the area.. He was a member of the Cypress Ridge Hunting Club. He was a avid hunter and just enjoyed being in the woods and the hunting camp. He also enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife, Lavonia Courtney Luke of Chiefland, a daughter and son in law, Tonya and Clint Tibbetts of Old Town, a brother Ely Luke of O'Brien, FL, 3 sisters, Mary Starr and Lillie (Don)Huckleberry of Houston, TX, Daisey Holley of Lake Jackson, TX., several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nellie Luke, brother, George Luke. Visitation will on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services Chapel from 1-2pm and Funeral services will be at 2pm, with Pastor Billy Keith and Merle Goodrich officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery.
