Obituary of Jack Mason Gaines

SUMMERFIELD — Jack Mason Gaines, 87, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010. Mr. Gaines was born in Ben Hill County, Ga., and moved to Summerfield from Clearwater in 1991. He was a retired construction coordinator; member of First Baptist Church of Belleview; the Spruce Creek Horseshoe Club; a U.S. Army veteran; and enjoyed playing golf and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Gloria S.; sons Raymond, Talking Rock, Ga., Tommy Allan, Ocala; daughter, Joyce Bliss, Loganville, Ga.; brother, Donald W., Springfield, Mass.; sister, Barbara Gaines McMahan, Winter Park; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services with military honors, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
