Obituary of Callie Pinder
Callie Elizabeth Pinder (nee Perez), aged 62 years, of Palm Harbor, passed away on August 5th after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Juliette Ann, her father: Hugh H. Hinde, and her brother: H. Leroy Hinde. She is survived by her husband E. F. Pinder, Jr. of Palm Harbor, her sons Matthew (wife Jennifer) and John Pinder, both of Palm Harbor, her mother Barbara Ann Hinde of Ocklawaha, Fl, her brother Stanley Hinde (wife Liza) of Ocklawaha, and two grandchildren, Emma Juliette Pinder and William Franklin Pinder. Mrs. Pinder was a lifelong educator, holding a BS degree from Florida Atlantic University and an MA from Nova Southeastern University, and served in Monroe County (Key West) and Pinellas County for the thirty-three years of her career. She began as a physical education teacher and made the transition to teaching social studies in the mid-1980s. The bulk of her career was spent at Palm Harbor Middle School, where she was one of the first faculty members to open the school. Memorial services will be held at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home in Belleview, Florida on August 10th, and interment will take place in the Ocklawaha Cemetery immediately following the service.
