Obituary of Marybeth E. Keeton
Keeton, Marybeth of Bronson, FL, 91, passed away August 14, 2010 at Ayers Health & Rehabilitation Center in Trenton, FL. She was born August 9, 1919 to Anthony and Angela (Riuli) Casali in Hamilton, Ontario.
Marybeth graduated from McKinley High School in Canton, OH and attended Florida State University. She worked as a ticket agent for the Pennsylvania RR in Cleveland, OH during the 1940s. After she married and her children were born, Marybeth worked as the school secretary for McCann Elementary School in Southgate, MI. Later she became the registrar at Starke Technical College in Canton, OH. In Canton, she was an active member of Saint Benedict Catholic Church. She retired to Florida in 1983, working part time for B K Cypress Log Homes, her family's business. Marybeth was an accomplished artist, gardener, and seamstress. She taught art and quilting and volunteered at the local library. She lived life with zest and brought laughter to all she met. She was a member of The Holy Family Catholic Church in Williston and The Anzonetta Epperson Circle in Bronson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband W.A. Keeton, son Bill Keeton, and siblings: Orland Casali (infant), Antoinette Casali (infant), Beatrice DiNarda, Carl Casali, Adelaide Dreussi, Melvina Caiazza, and Vera Oberster.
She is survived by daughter Elizabeth Zaharopoulos, and son Jim (Adamarie) Keeton, daughter-in-law, Constance Keeton, god-daughter, Angela Eckinger, four grandchildren; Jordan, James, Corinne, and Matt and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at The Holy Family Catholic Church in Williston, on August 21 at 11:00 am with interment following at Rosemary Cemetery in Bronson. All family and friends are invited to a celebration luncheon following the service at the Keeton Log Home in Bronson.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to her beloved Anzonetta Epperson Circle (a ladies Christian mission organization), P.O. Box 207, Bronson, FL 32621.
