Obituary of Ezra Varnadore

Ezra Varnadore 88 years, died at his residence on August 24, 2010 under the loving care of his wife. He was born November 24, 1921 in Baxley, Georgia; and at the age of 21, he was drafted into the US Army. During his service, he was a prisoner of war and received numerous honors, including a purple heart. Later, Ezra worked in road construction followed by a 27 year career with Marion County Waste Services. His hobbies included coin collecting and recycling. He also frequently enjoyed scratch-off lottery tickets. Ezra was a member of Ocala Springs Baptist Church, and the VFW Post # 4209. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Juanita; of Ocala, FL; son, Robert Wade (Sheila); daughter, Patricia Anne (Peter) Ezzell; as well as 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
